Fascinating column display cabinet (stipo), made of solid walnut wood finely worked. The furniture stands out for its slender lines and the rich carved decoration that runs along the uprights and base, recalling the taste of Italian Neorenaissance.

Description and Details

The structure features a large front glazed door and glazed side panels as well, a configuration ideal for maximizing internal brightness and showcasing collectible objects, silverware, or rare books.

Carvings: The frontal uprights are decorated with foliate motifs and relief scrolls, executed with notable craftsmanship. The plinth-based base is enriched with a bead-mordant frame that gives solidity and importance to the piece.

Internal: The internal back panel is visible wood, offering a warm and elegant contrast with the glass. There are side supports (notches) for inserting shelves.

Hardware: Original lock with external brass escutcheon and included working period key.

Condition

The furniture presents in good overall condition, solid and structurally intact. As visible from the close-up photographs, it shows the normal signs of age that attest to its authenticity:

• Slight superficial scratches and small dents on the top edges (see photos 0019/0020).

• A small superficial loss on the upper part of the door frame.

• Interior without glass shelves (easily orderable to suit personal needs).

• The inner bottom shows a natural wood grain (photo 0017).
