Beck. The artist R.K. Beck was active decorating Limoges porcelain with sporting/hunting scenes (dogs, game birds, landscapes) in the early 20th century. Similar signed R.K. Beck Limoges platters are routinely dated by specialists and auction houses to the early 20th century.\nTwo elegant pointing dogs (one brown & white, one black & white) are depicted in a golden autumn landscape with trees, fields and a pond. The painting is full of detail and rich colours, finished with a gold rim.\n44.5 cm long × 35 cm wide × 4 cm high\nGood vintage condition. The front is very attractive with vibrant colours and intact gold rim. There is some age-related staining and light discolouration on the back/underside and minor wear on the edges (normal for a piece of this age that has seen use). No cracks or major chips. Fabriquée par M de M (Mandavy/Mavaleix) et peinte à la main avec une scène ravissante représentant un bel oiseau à huppe coloré dans un paysage naturel (herbe et roseaux).\nLes couleurs sont vives et détaillées : huppe bleue, plumage brun chaud et accents bleus, fond doux et atmosphérique.
