Maria Titan Bio
Maria Titan (b. 1978) is a contemporary mixed-media painter based in Nicosia, Cyprus. Working with acrylic, pastel, and layered texture, her art blends realism with playful surreal details, often viewed from unexpected angles. Her work explores everyday scenes—swimmers, table settings, interiors—and elevates them into intimate, poetic moments.
Maria studied Fine Art at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her pieces have been collected internationally, with works held in private collections across Europe, Asia, the United Kingdom, the United States, South Africa, and Australia.
Known for her bold compositions, saturated colour, and Mediterranean influence, Maria’s paintings celebrate atmosphere and storytelling. Each artwork is created with high-quality materials, varnished for longevity, and shipped carefully from her Cyprus studio.
