- Nice spherical aggregates of calcite crystals up to 1.7cm nestled in a vug within dark basalt. Notably, the spheres are incompletely formed, revealing the flat rhombohedral faces that compose the rounded aggregates—a fascinating glimpse into their crystallographic structure. Note the excellent contrast and aesthetics.

Jean-Pierre Bac was a highly active regional field prospector in the departments of Cantal, Aveyron, and Lot from the 1970s through the 2010s.

He also made several remarkable and unusual discoveries in a quarry near Miécaze.
