Rare Vintage Seafoam DSR fiberglass chair

The fiberglass shell was manufactured by Herman Miller in the period 1959-71. The shell is generally in good useable condition with natural patina but have some big damage to the edge on each side of the seat of the chair(see pictures). Where the damage is the edge have been sanded smooth and treated. There are also some chips on the edge and a longer scratch on the front of the back. The shell has newer shock mounts in good condition.

The shell is mounted on newer original chrome Eiffel base made by Vitra in 2008 - the original sticker is included for documentation of originality and age. The base is in good condition and has natural signs of use but have been carefully cleaned and handpolished, so it look as good as possible. The base has brand new Vitra black glides.

There is nothing missing on the chair. Only due to the condition of the shell the chair have been put in this category. We normally sell this rare color at a much higher price but due to the condition you have the change of a great bargain if you can live with the damaged edge.

There is reflection of light on the chair in the pictures.

The chair will be very carefully packed and shipped insured.
