Once again, we have a truly excellent and particularly delightful Rosato made from Sagrantino grapes in our range! This Umbria Rosato comes from winemakers Paolo and Antonella Prosciutti of the Mevante estate in Bevagna, near Montefalco. So yes: this is a rosé made from 100% Sagrantino grapes, and you can taste that power immediately!
The color falls somewhere between the delicate pink of an onion skin and the beautiful salmon-pink of satin. The aromas instantly evoke springtime: wild strawberry, redcurrant, raspberry... wonderfully fruity. Yet it is also delightfully fresh on the palate, with lively mineral notes.
