The photographic series titled “Dreaming” explores the enigmatic realm of dreams, where reality converges with the surreal, and anything becomes possible.

Dreams are an integral part of the human experience, yet they remain largely shrouded in mystery. Through this project, I seek to ignite the viewer’s imagination and provoke a sense of wonder about the nature of dreams.

Ultimately, “Dreaming” serves as a catalyst for dialogue about the meaning and significance of our dreams, and the ways in which they shape our perceptions of reality. It is my hope that this work will encourage a deeper understanding and appreciation of the power of the unconscious mind.

Johana Trayanova is a visual artist working in the field of fine art photography. Born in Sofia in 1991, she

graduated in Dramaturgy from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” in 2014.

Trayanova began telling stories through photography after completing a series of courses in conceptual photographic art in 2016. In 2024, she enrolled in a Master’s program in Photography at the National Academy of Arts.

Since 2018, Johana Trayanova has been creating audiovisual spaces that immerse the viewer, provoking them through the concepts she explores.
