With this square-format artwork, Medsan imagines a Star Destroyer, the colossal Imperial vessel from Star Wars, stranded and fossilized in the heart of a desert of dunes, a forgotten city of a nomadic people.

The treatment adopts the generous style of concept art and landscape painting: golden light of late afternoon, graded sky, the vastness of sand where the ship, planted vertically, becomes a mountain. The giant hull has turned into a troglodyte village — hollowed-out dwellings, hanging gardens, temple perched on the command bridge, caravans of camels winding along the slopes. A discreet card bearing メドサン signs the work.

The work meditates on time and the fall of empires. The most terrifying war machine in the galaxy, reduced to silence, colonized by life and nature, becomes the peaceful backdrop of a new civilization. Medsan transforms the symbol of domination into a poetic relic, the ruin of a future already ancient.
