卖家的描述
Premium Iron Meteorite – Campo del Cielo (IAB-MG)
Complete Natural Specimen – Cleaned by Electrolysis
I am pleased to offer this authentic Campo del Cielo iron meteorite, a complete natural specimen originating from Argentina.
This exceptional Campo del Cielo iron meteorite displays an extraordinary sculptural shape, with towering ridges, deep cavities and torn-looking metallic surfaces. Its dramatic morphology suggests that this individual may have been violently detached from a much larger mass during the catastrophic fragmentation of the parent body. The resulting forms evoke molten metal frozen in motion, while atmospheric ablation further sculpted its surface into an intricate landscape of sharp crests and deep regmaglypts.
Large dark internal inclusions, most likely composed of silicate-rich assemblages containing graphite and sulfides, contrast beautifully with the surrounding iron-nickel matrix, making this specimen both scientifically fascinating and visually striking.
This beautiful individual meteorite has been carefully cleaned and stabilized through electrolysis treatment, allowing the natural metallic structure to reappear while removing surface oxidation. The result is a visually striking specimen with a strong extraterrestrial character.
Campo del Cielo is one of the most famous iron meteorites in the world and has fascinated collectors for centuries.
