Muller Frères Lunéville – Signed Adjustable Desk Lamp in Mottled Glass and Patinated Bronze – France, circa 1920

Elegant French desk lamp signed Muller Frères Lunéville, made circa 1915–1925, during the transition from late Art Nouveau to Art Deco.

The mottled glass shade displays rich orange, amber and brown tones, enhanced by a clouded decoration that becomes especially luminous when lit. Its flared form and satin surface produce a soft and warm glow.

The glass is suspended from an adjustable patinated bronze mount, featuring a tall fluted stem, a curved arm and an architectural square base with geometric decoration. The articulated mechanism allows the light to be directed while enhancing the sculptural character of the lamp.

The glass bears the full “Muller Frères Lunéville” signature.

Very good state of preservation. The glass shows no visible chips or cracks. The bronze mount is stable and retains an even age-consistent patina with minor signs of use.
