大型苏联列宁胸像,作者Matvey Genrikhovich Manizer,铸造金属表面镀 patina,约31 cm高,产地苏联,状态极好。
卖家的描述
Impressive large Soviet portrait bust of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, produced from the sculptural model by the celebrated Soviet master Matvey Genrikhovich Manizer.
With a height of approximately 31 cm, this is a substantial cabinet sculpture with a strong monumental presence. Lenin is portrayed in formal dress, with a carefully modelled face, characteristic expression and well-defined details of the jacket, waistcoat, shirt and tie. The dark brown, bronze-toned patina emphasises the depth of the portrait and gives the bust an imposing historical appearance.
The side of the base bears the original cast inscription:
“ск. Манизер” — “Sculptor Manizer”
Matvey Genrikhovich Manizer (1891–1966) was one of the leading sculptors of the Soviet period. He was a People’s Artist of the USSR, a full member and vice-president of the Academy of Arts of the USSR, and the recipient of several major state awards. Manizer created numerous monumental portraits and public sculptures, including monuments to Lenin, Vasily Chapayev and Taras Shevchenko. He is also famous for the sculptural decoration of several Moscow Metro stations, most notably Ploshchad Revolyutsii.
The reverse bears the original factory mark of the:
Art Fund of the RSFSR – Mytishchi Art Casting Plant
The Mytishchi Art Casting Plant was an important Soviet enterprise specialising in professional artistic and monumental metal casting. It produced sculptures for official institutions, public interiors, cultural organisations and private collections.
The combination of the Manizer attribution and the official Mytishchi factory mark distinguishes this bust from ordinary anonymous Soviet decorative figures. This is a professionally produced work of Soviet artistic casting connected with one of the most respected sculptors of the USSR.
