Recording King RPS-7-MBK – Dirty 30s Series 7 Single-O
The Recording King RPS-7-MBK is a compact acoustic guitar in Single-O format from the Dirty 30s Series 7. This model offers the same vintage-inspired construction and tone as the Tobacco Sunburst version, finished in a minimalist Matte Black that emphasizes its understated, roots-oriented character.
General description
The guitar is built with a spruce top and White Wood sides and back, delivering a clear, focused sound with a strong midrange presence. Traditional X-bracing (Cross-Lap bracing) supports balanced projection and a responsive, vintage-style acoustic voice.
The mahogany neck features a Thin C profile and is paired with an ovangkol fingerboard, providing a comfortable and familiar playing feel. The neck joins the body at the 12th fret, enhancing warmth and resonance while contributing to a relaxed and natural string response. The Matte Black finish gives the guitar a clean, no-frills aesthetic that fits perfectly within blues, folk, and roots traditions.
Playing experience
With its Single-O body and 12th-fret design, the RPS-7-MBK is lightweight, comfortable, and highly responsive. The tone is warm, woody, and articulate, making it well suited for fingerstyle, blues, folk, and traditional acoustic music. As a purely acoustic instrument without electronics, it delivers an uncolored and authentic playing experience.
