This exceptional aquamarine displays an attractive combination of size, colour and cut. Its generous face-up appearance makes it look larger than its carat weight, partly due to its relatively shallow depth. The name *Aquamarine* was coined by the Romans more than 2,000 years ago and means “water of the sea” in Latin, derived from the words *aqua* (water) and *marina* (sea).
