A striking oil landscape depicting a rural farm by a pond, rendered in the realist-impressionist style characteristic of the mid-20th century. The painting was executed with oil on plywood board (Hartfaser) and framed in a wooden frame.
The work is signed in the lower right corner “W. Weber”. Based on analysis of the signature, technique, substrate, and comparison with documented works, there are grounds to attribute the painting to the German painter Willy Weber (1895–1959).
Willy Weber was a German landscape painter, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, known mainly for views of Chiemsee and southern Germany. He painted realistic landscapes with subtle, impressionist coloristics, and many of his works were created precisely on plywood boards. (Wiki)
The painting is kept in good condition, with natural signs of aging. The paint layer is stable. One minimal scratch.
