An exceptional and finely crafted antique solid silver mustard pot (often used as a salt cellar), dating from the late 19th to early 20th century (Qajar period). Originating from the famous silversmithing hub of Isfahan, Iran, this piece features masterfully executed, deep relief repoussé and chased decoration depicting royal court, pastoral, and tribute-bearing scenes.

• Hallmarks:
1. Stamped with the official French "Swan" (Cygne) import hallmark on both the main body and the rim of the lid (guaranteeing antique status and silver purity in France since 1893) – see photos no 8, 10
2. Partial original maker's mark stamped on the base under the import mark.

Design & Iconography:
The spherical body rests on three classic ball feet and is surmounted by a dome-shaped removable lid featuring an aperture for a spoon.
• The Body: Decorated with a continuous narrative of high-relief figurative panels. The central motif depicts a seated Persian Shah (King) wearing a traditional crown, flanked by court officials, servants with fly-whisks, and subjects bearing tributes or gifts in a style inspired by the ancient reliefs of Persepolis.
• The Lid: Finely chased with a pastoral scene showing figures in traditional attire interacting with livestock among dense foliage and running animals, finished with a stippled background.

Condition:
Excellent antique condition with wonderful, deep-toned natural patina that beautifully highlights the intricate repoussé work. No major dents or repairs. The lid is fully original and matching, as verified by the duplicate French import hallmarks. (XRF spectrometer analysis report included/available).
