这是一幅原创丝绸绢本水墨设色画，题为《牡丹与金孔雀》，由著名日本南宗画派画家山本梅逸（1783–1856）创作。作品以盛开的牡丹和栖息于岩石上的雄伟金孔雀构成生动的画面，笔触优雅、用色细腻，展现出梅逸一贯的高雅笔法与 refined coloring。题签写有“在玉泉室写”的字句，指明画家的工作室名称。Originating from Japan during the late Edo period, this hanging scroll is mounted with traditional blue patterned silk borders and includes an original wooden storage box (tomobako) inscribed with the title and artist's name, serving as a certificate of authenticity.

起源于日本的江户后期，这幅挂轴以传统的蓝色花纹丝绸边装裱，附有原装木质存盒（tomobako），盒上题有题名与作者姓名，用作真伪证明。
