This particular model, the 5M23-6A20, was among the very first Landmasters and holds historical importance as it introduced Seiko’s AGS (Automatic Generating System), the forerunner of today’s Kinetic movements. By converting wrist movement into electrical energy, the watch offered quartz accuracy without the need for regular battery changes—a revolutionary concept in the early 1990s.
