Model History:

The Tiffany & Co. Atlas watch was introduced in 1983 and designed by John Loring, Tiffany’s long-serving design director. Its raised Roman-numeral bezel was inspired by the historic Atlas Clock installed above Tiffany’s New York flagship, where a statue of the mythological titan supports the clock.

This Swiss-made quartz version combines the collection’s distinctive architectural bezel with a restrained dark grey dial and date display. The “T Swiss Made T” marking indicates the original use of tritium luminous material, consistent with its estimated 1990s production.

Condition:

The watch is in very good vintage condition. The dark grey dial remains clean and clearly legible, while the tritium hour plots have developed an even cream-coloured patina. The hands show some surface ageing.

The stainless steel case and Roman-numeral bezel display light scratches and small marks consistent with previous use. The caseback also shows surface scratches, including one more prominent longer mark. The original crystal is clear and free from scratches.

A new black leather strap has been fitted. The original Tiffany & Co. box is included. The quartz movement has been serviced, fitted with a new battery and is covered by a 3-month functionality guarantee.
