Obv: Head of Herakles in lion skin headdress to right.
Rev: AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ. Club and bow in bow-case.

After Alexander the Great’s death, bronze issues minted at an uncertain location in Macedon reflected the transition as his empire was divided among his generals. Herakles appears on the obverse, while the reverse depicts a bow in a bow-case and a club, symbols associated with both Herakles and Alexander. The imagery evoked strength, divine protection, and Alexander’s legendary conquests.
