卖家的描述
Scientific name: Unidentified Theropod Dinosaur ungual Toe claw - Likely belonging to a medium-big sized Theropod predator. Potencial Megalosaurid cf Afrovenator
Location: Tiouraren Hill, Téneré Desert, Niger.
Geological Formation: Tiouraren Fm
Age: Middle Jurassic, Bathonian stage ( 167 million years)
Size: 6,1cm
REF.: #S588
DESCRIPTION:
Extremely rare specimen. Due to its morphology, it is an ungual toe claw belonging to an medium-big sized theropod dinosaur. It is very difficult to arrive at a precise taxonomic assignment and ID when only one isolated claw is available. Be that as it may, it is a jewel worthy of the most exquisite collectors.
Its morphology resembles the claws of megalosaurids, although a precise taxonomic assignment cannot be made, until there is more literature to compare with, as well as new discoveries.
Observations: Not restored or glued, just pristine specimen.
All of our fossils come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Every week, the issued Certificates of Authenticity are updated in our database verification system on our website. If you find that your certificate has not yet been updated, please contact us and we will update it immediately. Display box not included.
