A beautiful and elegant Herend porcelain tea set in the iconic Apponyi Green (AV) Chinese Bouquet pattern, featuring delicate floral decoration and refined gilded details.

Period: Approximately 1970–1980

The Apponyi pattern is one of Herend’s most iconic designs. It originates from the famous “Indian Basket” motif that became popular in the 18th–19th centuries. Count Albert Apponyi, a member of a prominent Hungarian aristocratic family, requested a simplified and more elegant version of the Indian Basket design around 1930.
The result was the Apponyi pattern, characterized by its central stylized flower motif and rich hand-painted detailing with luxurious gold accents. To this day, it remains one of Herend’s most beloved and collectible patterns.
