卖家的描述
Large Douvilleiceras Ammonite – Strong Defined Ribs – Madagascar
A striking large specimen of Douvilleiceras sp. ammonite, carefully prepared and polished to enhance the powerful natural architecture of the shell.
This example is particularly notable for its very well-defined and pronounced ribs, which run strongly across the whorls and give the ammonite an impressive sculptural appearance. The ribbing is deep, regular and highly visible from every angle, emphasizing the characteristic morphology of the genus.
The preparation also reveals attractive natural variations in cream, beige, pale pink and earthy tones, together with areas of mineralization and subtle crystalline development. The polished surface enhances these details without losing the fossil’s robust natural character.
The inner whorls remain clearly visible, while the large body chamber gives the specimen a strong sense of volume and presence. The combination of pronounced ribbing, substantial three-dimensional form and refined preparation makes this an especially attractive display fossil.
Presented on a clear acrylic stand, it is well suited to advanced fossil collections, natural history displays, cabinets of curiosities or refined interior decoration.
