卖家的描述
ONLY ONE LEFT IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this vertically oriented work, Medsan presents Godzilla — the kaijū born in 1954 under Ishirō Honda’s camera for Toho — in a full roar stance, body upright and jaws opened toward the sky. The monster here is entirely covered in tags, like a Shibuya wall or a New York subway car from the 1980s. The encounter is frontal: the icon of Japanese monster cinema becomes a support for street art, in the manner of Banksy’s urban interventions or a JonOne-saturated surface.
The treatment plays on a highly controlled contrast between the sculptural rendering and the spray-paint intervention. The body is modeled in grisaille, in graphite and slate greys that bring out each scale, each dorsal plate in blade and the cracked texture of the skin, while the background, worked in cream and off-white impasto, preserves knife marks. On top, the lettering comes in flat whites, blacks, electric blue and acid green: bubble throw-ups, nervous tags, sign-words « ATOMIC », « TOKYO », « FALLOUT », « ROAR », « SCALES », « WAKE DEEP RUN », the date 1954 and the kanji 怪獣 traced with stencil on the thigh. The diagonal ascending composition, from the tail tip bottom left to the jaw top right, gives the beast the full height of the frame.
This graphic vandalism says something precise: Godzilla was born from nuclear trauma, and the words sprayed on its skin — atomic, fallout, Tokyo — replay this memory in street language. The monster ceases to be a distant threat and becomes a public surface, covered with slogans as the city walls it trod upon. The creature now bears its own tattooed narrative, between monument and wall of expression.
A graphic and immediately legible piece, ideal for bringing an urban and cinephile touch to a contemporary interior of a collector attached to Japanese pop culture and street art.

About the Atelier:
Atelier Joconde is a studio of artists gathered around a living and plural contemporary creation. Established as a true artistic production space, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family adventure. Le Yack, contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. Beside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, mixing abstract art, naive art and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, realized and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic demand and an identity unique to each artist.
