A striking Mid-Century Modern smoking set by MHN, made in genuine banded green onyx and polished brass. A beautiful example of the luxurious German natural-stone accessories popular during the 1950s–1960s.
The set consists of three matching pieces:
- Large rectangular hinged cigarette / trinket box

The rough or pre-cut onyx blocks were sourced by MHN from regions renowned for high-quality stone, including Pakistan and Northern Italy. In West Germany, the stone components were then finished and assembled with high-quality German brass hardware, including the hinges and lighter mechanisms.
All three pieces feature the characteristic translucent green onyx with natural milky banding, sage-green tones and warm brown mineral veins. The cigarette box and lighter are finished with elegant polished brass fittings.
The cigarette box and lighter retains the original gold-tone MHN label “Echt Marmor-Onyx”, providing excellent period authenticity.
