卖家的描述
vintage Seiko Quartz Wristwatch – Gold-Tone Case – Extremely Rare Roman Numeral Dial – Ref. V701-5761
A striking vintage Seiko quartz wristwatch featuring a classic gold-tone case and an especially unusual champagne-gold Roman numeral dial. The standout feature of this particular watch is its extremely rare and distinctive dial configuration, which gives the piece considerably more character than the more commonly encountered Seiko quartz dress watches from the same period.
The dial is exceptionally attractive, displaying an intricate concentric wave or guilloché-style texture radiating outward from the centre. This unusual patterned surface catches the light beautifully and creates a much more elaborate appearance than a conventional plain Seiko dial. Black Roman numeral hour markers, small applied dot indices and slim contrasting hands complete the classical design. For collectors searching for an unusual vintage Seiko dial, rare Seiko Roman numeral watch, or distinctive Japanese dress watch, this is a particularly interesting example.
The combination of the ornate textured watch face, Roman numerals and gold-tone case gives the watch an elegant, almost jewellery-like appearance. It is a design that works particularly well as a formal dress watch while also having enough visual character to stand out within a collection of vintage Seiko watches.
The stainless-steel case back is clearly marked SEIKO, WATER RESISTANT, BASE METAL, ST. STEEL BACK and reference V701-5761, together with serial number 553111. The V701 designation corresponds to the Seiko quartz movement family, while 5761 forms part of the case reference.
The watch is fitted with a two-tone metal bracelet combining silver and gold-coloured elements. The bracelet complements the gold-tone case particularly well, although it appears to be a later or replacement bracelet rather than necessarily the original factory-fitted Seiko bracelet.
The battery has run out, meaning that the watch is currently not running. It has not been tested with a fresh battery, and therefore functionality after battery replacement cannot be guaranteed. A battery replacement and potentially a service should consequently be taken into consideration by the buyer.
The watch displays visible signs of previous use, including scratches, surface wear and areas of wear to the gold-tone finish around the case and lugs. These characteristics are consistent with the age of a genuine vintage wristwatch and can be clearly assessed in the supplied photographs.
What makes this example particularly appealing is the combination of the rare decorative Seiko watch face, traditional Roman numerals and classic gold-tone dress-watch styling. Many surviving Seiko quartz watches feature relatively simple dials, making this elaborate textured configuration considerably more unusual and visually desirable.
A compelling acquisition for collectors searching for a rare vintage Seiko, Seiko V701-5761, vintage Seiko Roman numeral watch, gold-tone Seiko dress watch, rare Seiko textured dial, Japanese quartz collector's watch, vintage Seiko men's watch, or an unusual Seiko wristwatch with a distinctive decorative dial.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and provide the best representation of the watch's present cosmetic condition. No guarantee is made regarding functionality, accuracy or water resistance, as the battery is currently depleted and the watch has not been tested with a replacement battery.
