Zippo - 芝宝 - Harley-Davidson “Since 1903” - 口袋打火机 - 金属

aged silver-tone finish, four nut-style corner accents and engraved Harley-Davidson graphics immediately caught my eye. It has plenty of honest wear, almost like a well-used bike part, and that rugged construction plus the Harley/Zippo combination gives auction bidders plenty to notice.

[Appearance]

A rugged Harley-Davidson Zippo with a silver-tone finish and a nicely industrial design.

The front features the Harley-Davidson script, Motor Cycles shield logo, “SINCE 1903,” and the phrase “If I have to explain.... you wouldn’t Understand.” Four raised nut-style accents sit at the corners, while the side is marked “HARLEY DAVIDSON.” I have to say, those little hardware details suit a Harley lighter extremely well.

The case shows plenty of scratches, rubbing, tarnish, discoloration and edge wear from age and use. There is also noticeable patina around the corners and bottom. On the positive side, the engraving remains easy to read and the worn silver-tone surface works nicely with the tough, mechanical character of the design.

The bottom is stamped “ZIPPO,” “BRADFORD, PA. MADE IN U.S.A.” and “B 01,” indicating February 2001 production.
