A lovely carboniferous pair of Neuropteris ovata plant fossils, positive and negative, the contrast is stunning! Best quality! The matrixes are iron clay stones so the stone material is volcanic ash that covered the fossils in an instant that time and therefore the plants were preserved perfectly. The stones were found by myself in the region of the district Moselle in France in August 2026. Found in rest material that came out of the former coal mines in this region. The fossil is between 309 and 302 million years old.
