Antique Oval Decorative Frame with Rocaille Crest – Baroque/Rococo Style

Elegant antique oval frame with a highly decorative character, featuring rich vegetal ornamentation, scrolls and rocaille motifs, enhanced by a spectacular central upper crest decorated with leaves, scrolls and floral elements.

The frame is finished in beautiful antique gold and bronze-gold tones, with a warm aged patina that enhances the numerous carved and moulded details. The outer band is richly decorated with elaborate scrollwork, foliage and small floral motifs, while the inner edge features a continuous ornamental decoration.

The particularly impressive upper crest gives the frame a striking and theatrical appearance. Its flowing and asymmetrical forms, combined with scrolling foliage and floral elements, recall the Baroque and Rococo decorative tradition, particularly the Louis XV taste.
