一件重要的中国陶马雕塑，呈现站立姿态，具备极强的表达力与显著的纪念性。它以优雅的颈部、躯干的有力造型，以及张口的生动头部等特点脱颖而出，赋予作品高度的装饰性雕塑存在感和强烈的视觉冲击力。

由于尺寸卓越、轮廓威武，在汉代死葬雕塑领域中，这件作品尤具吸引力。表面保留了与其年代相符的考古质感，能清晰看到磨损、侵蚀与随时间推移的改动等痕迹，进一步强化其历史意义。

该件附有1996年出具的热释光测试，描述其为“彩绘陶马”，并指示大致年代约为1510年以前。测试结论认为结果与所声称的年代（汉代）相吻合。另附由Marco Polo Fine Oriental Antiques & Works of Art（香港）于2006年9月3日出具的发票，为其来源提供额外的书面证据。
