THE VINTAGE
The years in 9 regularly mark the memory of winemakers and it does not seem to deviate from the rule. After an early outflow at the beginning of April, flowering was gradual and took place in good conditions on all the vineyards. Then set in a scorching summer from the end of June, to which the vines valiantly resist: they have suffered little from water stress, in particular thanks to the chamomile herbal teas sprayed on the vegetation to cope with the heat. Finally, the harvest took place as usual, without particular precocity. The wines promise to be full of promise for a vintage in 9 born, once again, under a lucky star.
Tasting 2017
Beautiful deep dress of an intense ruby red. All in opulence, the nose of this 2019 red Beaucastel is complex, mixing superb notes of spices, fresh fruit, cocoa and fruits with eau de vie. Very elegant, ample and generous in the mouth, this wine offers a silky texture and powerful aromas of small black fruits and noble spices. It ends with a very nice length.
