Vintage Furisode Kimono: Raspberry Red Gradient Dyeing – Snow Wheel, Butterflies, Flowers and Birds Pattern – Ideal for Wearing or as a Luxurious Display Piece (No Reserve Price)
◎ This item will be shipped directly from Japan. This beautiful Furisode features a gorgeous raspberry red and deep navy blue gradient, decorated with a vibrant and lavish Snow Wheel, Butterflies, Flowers and Birds pattern. The deep navy blue on the sleeves and hem provides a striking accent that balances the overall design, while its impressive presence makes it truly feel like a work of art.
The Snow Wheel, Butterflies, Flowers and Birds pattern, embroidered with golden thread, combines the traditional “Yukiwa” (Snow Wheel) motif, which represents snow in a circular form, graceful butterflies in flight, and flowers and birds inspired by nature. It is a highly elegant and ornate traditional Japanese pattern commonly used on kimono and obi.
Although this is a vintage kimono, it remains in remarkably good condition, showing little indication of its age.
【About Furisode】
Furisode is the most formal traditional attire worn by unmarried women in Japan. It is characterized by its exceptionally long sleeves, which sway beautifully as the wearer walks and are considered a symbol of traditional Japanese beauty.
【Artisan Craftsmanship: Hand Stitching and Eba-Moyo】
Please look closely at the seams of the fabric. The patterns on adjacent sections are carefully aligned and continue seamlessly across the seams, demonstrating the meticulous craftsmanship involved in tailoring the kimono by hand.
【The Beauty as Interior Décor】
The rich texture and beautiful sheen of 100% silk (pure silk / Shōken) are highly valued in Western interiors as a modern expression of Japanese aesthetics, as well as an oriental work of art. Simply displaying this kimono in a room can bring elegance, beauty, and a luxurious atmosphere to the space.
