Alain Costa，born in 1950，is a French painter whose work is characterised by a particular interest in light, atmosphere and urban poetry. His work can be situated within a modern Impressionist approach, focusing on mood and light effects rather than strict pictorial detail.

In Misty Morning, created in 2020 or later, the artist depicts an urban scene enveloped in a luminous misty atmosphere. The architecture gradually emerges through a subtle palette of greys, whites and soft pinkish tones, while vivid touches of red provide contrast and structure the composition.

Figures, vehicles and buildings are suggested through a loose and expressive brushstroke. The mist plays an essential role in the composition, softening the contours, creating a sense of depth and giving the scene a calm, elegant and poetic atmosphere.
