Armor inspired by European design, yet retaining its distinct Japanese heritage.
Made with cloth and chain-mails kusari.
From the Edo period 1603-1868.
This armor is composed of: Kusari Zukin - protecting the head and neck.
Kusari Katabira joui - protecting the body-torso and arms.
Kusari Haidate - protecting the legs and thigh.
Kusari Suneate - protecting the shins.
kusari han kote - protecting hands.
This armor,assembled from pieces with chainmail dates from the late Edo period.
It is in fairly good overall condition .with few partially unstiched areas to note.
Each component is complete and covered kusari.
This armor Samourai is strong,and dates from around 1850 and weighs 15kg.
It is stored in a japanese wooden box from the same period, which is ideal for better preservation.
