Elegant antique seal (signet) crafted from polished agate/onyx and richly decorated with hallmarked silver mounts.

The elongated stone body displays attractive natural cream and honey-coloured veining. Both ends are embellished with finely worked silver, featuring elaborate floral and scrolling foliate decoration.

The silver mount bears several hallmarks, visible in the photographs. As the marks have not been conclusively identified, no specific maker, country or silver standard is attributed.

A refined and unusual example of an antique personal accessory, combining the natural beauty of polished stone with detailed silversmith work.
