Imperial German Uniform for 4th Bavarian Cheveuleger Major-This is produced in dark green wool. There is wear, fading, discoloration and a few very tiny holes in the jacket itself. The cuffs and collar are field grey wool, the left cuff has quite a bit of moth damage and there is staining/discoloration/ wear to each. These are period modified for early war field use. This is double breasted, with two rows of silver finished metal buttons. There is an additional button on each side at the top. The lapel folds over and has hooks by the right shoulder to wear it open. There are slip on shoulder boards for a major. These have a silver bullion braid with an underlay of red and a secondary underlay of green. The tops are original while the bottoms were rebuilt at some point. There is a tail in the back which has two rows of three silver buttons. The inside of the collar is red. The interior is fully lined in tan cloth. There is a lot of wear and tear with holes. It is extremely well marked with multiple ink stamps. It is a small size.
