Vintage Certina Revelation Automatic – circa 1970/1971 – Original Crystal Tool with Box

A particularly interesting vintage Certina Revelation Automatic, dating from approximately 1970–1971, offered together with its original Certina crystal-removal tool and the original box specifically designed to store this tool.

The watch features the distinctive Revelation design, with a compact stainless-steel case measuring approximately 31.5 × 26.7 mm, excluding the crown. The combination of the blue central dial, contrasting cream-coloured chapter ring and blue outer minute track creates a striking late-1960s/early-1970s aesthetic.

The watch is powered by a Swiss automatic mechanical movement with a practical date display. The movement is currently running and the automatic winding mechanism is functioning.

The original dial is beautifully designed and well preserved, with distinctive applied markers and contrasting hands. The stainless-steel case shows signs of age and use consistent with its vintage character, clearly visible in the photographs.

The watch comes with its original dark navy-blue Certina suede strap, complete with the original silver-tone Certina buckle bearing the Certina logo.

Rare original Certina accessory

A particularly unusual feature of this lot is the original Certina tool for removing the plexiglass crystal, together with its original red Certina box made specifically for storing the tool.
