IKEA VÄRMER – Sarah & Jens Fager – Bentwood Ash Veneer Storage Basket – 2019

Rare and distinctive IKEA V ÄRMER storage basket, designed by Swedish designers Sarah Fager & Jens Fager for IKEA’s limited VÄRMER collection from 2019.

This sculptural basket is made from beautifully curved ash veneer and features a striking, thick natural rope handle. The oversized rope and wooden fastening details are characteristic elements of the design, combining functionality with a strong Scandinavian aesthetic.

The organic shape and use of natural materials make this an attractive piece for Scandinavian, Japandi and minimalist interiors. It can be used as a magazine rack, storage basket, blanket holder or simply as a decorative design object.

The VÄRMER collection was produced for a limited period, and this particular design has become increasingly difficult to find.

The original IKEA label remains present underneath, showing article number 904.405.04 and Made in Romania.
