Karl especially enjoys revealing his works at international exhibitions. In 2011, he was represented by Bel Air Fine Art at the Art Monaco fair with Cryptogram One. The following year, he presented works One Dollar under the theme “In God We Trust” at Artco France gallery. His 2016 solo show at Atrium Gallery in Marbella, Spain, was inaugurated by the mayor, who praised his works to the international press.

In 2010, he was chosen to represent Deauville at the Horsemania World Championship in Lexington, where he created a sculpture of a horse dedicated to the event. In 2012, he offered Deauville his Cryptogram One sculpture, a symbolic bronze of peace and love, located at the city entrance. That year, in collaboration with Corbis, he built a monumental sculpture for the Cannes Festival, using photographs from 1945 to 2011, signed by personalities such as Alexandra Lamy and Matthew McConaughey.

The artist rose to prominence in 2009 with his sculptures “One Dollar,” earning him a place among the world’s top ten sculptors under 30 according to Artprice.

In 2017, he was selected to design the trophies for the 43rd American Film Festival. Inspired by “Cryptogramme One,” he created a polished aluminum trophy bearing messages like “Hope,” “7e Art,” and “Deauville” on its four faces. For the 46th edition in 2020, Karl Lagasse received a commission to craft a new trophy inspired by an emblematic Deauville symbol: the barrier drawings on the Planches.

In 2016, France Culture referenced Karl in an article about his monumental installation, A Piece of Heaven on Earth, which combines a Maserati wrapped in white plastic and a Jesus statue surrounded by dollar-shaped sculptures, symbolizing human debt. This work was unveiled at the Art Paris Art Fair 2015 in collaboration with Maserati. In 2017, he created Deauville American Film Festival Trophy inspired by his Cryptogramme One, adding messages such as “Hope” and “7e Art” on the trophies.
