Description:
On conventional recorders, the signal and bias are applied to the same recording head.
Therefore, the frequencies recorded, especially high frequency signals, tend to be attenuated or erased by the effect of the bias field.

With the exclusive Akai Cross-Field Head, however, the signal and bias heads are mounted separately in opposition with each other with their centers slightly off.

NOTE:Recordings are made on THIS machine,(good quality tape),sounds very well,but runs a bit too slow.
On this machine playback is no issue.Also there is that famous problem,that in "reverse mode" the sound
quality is not as it should be.
THE RECORDER IS IN AN ABSOLUTE COSMETIC CONDITION!
