卖家的描述
Vintage Seiko Quartz Chronograph wristwatch, reference 8M25-6000, featuring an unusual multi-function dial, classical Roman numerals and a distinctive gold-tone dress-watch case.
The watch has a highly characteristic white dial with large black Roman numeral hour markers and a contrasting red XII at 12 o'clock. An inner 24-hour scale surrounds the centre of the dial, while the lower multifunction display incorporates chronograph, alarm and time-setting indications. Red and black detailing gives the watch an unusual technical appearance while retaining the elegant styling of a traditional dress watch.
The dial is signed:
SEIKO
QUARTZ
Chronograph
The multifunction indicator at 6 o'clock includes markings for:
CHRONO
TIME
ALARM
ALARM ON
MATCH
TIME SET
This distinctive layout is characteristic of Seiko's more technically ambitious quartz watches of the period and gives the model significantly more visual interest than a conventional three-hand quartz watch.
The caseback is marked:
SEIKO
BASE METAL
ST. STEEL BACK
8M25-6000
JAPAN
The watch is fitted with a gold-tone case, chronograph pushers and a black leather strap. The case and caseback show considerable signs of previous use, including scratches, surface marks and wear to the gold-tone plating. The leather strap is heavily worn and aged, with cracking and deterioration visible throughout. Please study the photographs carefully for the exact cosmetic condition.
The Seiko 8M25 is an unusual vintage quartz calibre combining chronograph and alarm functions within a compact dress-watch format. The combination of Roman numerals, red dial accents, multiple operating modes and traditional round case gives this model a distinctly late-1980s to early-1990s Seiko aesthetic.
An interesting vintage Seiko for collectors of unusual Japanese quartz watches, Seiko chronographs, alarm watches, multifunction watches, vintage dress watches, Roman numeral watches and Seiko 8M25 models.
Due to the age of the watch, all functions should be considered unverified unless specifically tested. Any original water-resistance specification should likewise not be relied upon without professional testing. Battery required, possible repairs. Externally the watch is in Good shape. I dont know about internally, as I am not a watch guy but just inherited these.
