Vintage Sicura Swiss Made Mechanical Chronograph – 17 Jewels – 1970s

Offered for auction is a very attractive vintage Sicura Swiss Made mechanical chronograph, dating approximately from the 1970s.
The watch features the characteristic sporty design of the period, with a black dial, contrasting silver sub-dials and a striking red and black tachymeter scale.
The dial is signed SICURA – 17 JEWELS – CHRONO – T SWISS MADE T.
It features a two-register chronograph configuration, central orange chronograph seconds hand and a date window positioned at 3 o'clock.
The tonneau-shaped case is typical of Swiss sports chronographs from the 1970s. The stainless-steel case back carries the original Sicura emblem and is marked “SICURA – SWISS MADE – STAINLESS STEEL BACK – WATER-RESISTANT.”

Condition:
The watch is in good vintage cosmetic condition considering its age. The dial has been preserved particularly well and retains an attractive original vintage appearance. The case shows scratches, marks and normal signs of age and use, clearly visible in the photographs.
The strap is a modern replacement and is not original to the watch.
