A decorative pair of antique French Samson Chinese-style porcelain plates, 19th century, made in imitation of 18th-century Chinese famille rose export porcelain.
Each plate is finely enamelled with a cockerel standing amongst flowering plants and rockwork, surrounded by a richly decorated border of peonies, foliage and floral cartouches in famille rose enamels.
Condition: Excellent condition, with only very minor age-related surface wear
