Masudaya / Cragstan - Atomic Rocket - Japan 1953
Beautiful Lever Action Atomic Rocket in strong colors. A vintage 1953 Cragstan version of the Atomic Rocket lever action tin toy. In blue, red, yellow and black colors lithographed tin. Saturn and stars litho on the large distinctive side panels.
The rocket is in working condition, it propels on all 4 wheels when the lever is pulled back. The top fin acts as the lever. On either side it says “Atomic Rocket” and it is marked on the bottom “Cragstan Japan Patent No. 27579 1614”.
It's probably made by Masudaya, because the made an identical one and Cragstan was a distributor and not a producer of tin toy.
