A beautiful and historically important 3 Groschen (Trojak) of King Stefan Batory, struck at the Vilnius Mint in 1580, the first year of issue of this denomination under his reign.

The obverse features the crowned bust of King Stefan Batory, with the characteristic “III” denomination mark beneath the bust. The reverse displays the Knight (Pogonia) of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, surrounded by the mint and ruler’s legends.
