French 1970s Rattan Pencil-Reed Display Pedestal Column

Manufacturer and origin: French craftsmanship, France
Production period: 1970s

Tall display pedestal crafted from closely arranged pencil reed, with a cylindrical column, stepped circular base and layered upper rim. The geometric top surface and warm honey-toned finish give the piece a sculptural presence suited to displaying plants, ceramics, lamps or decorative objects.

The rattan presents an authentic age-developed patina, natural tonal variation and character throughout. It will be shipped exactly as shown in the photographs, so please examine all images carefully.

Pencil-reed furniture became a distinctive feature of European interiors during the 1970s, valued for its rhythmic texture, natural material and architectural form. The substantial 91 cm height and classical column-inspired profile make this an appealing addition to rattan collections, Mediterranean interiors and refined bohemian settings.
