Artistic Technique

The artwork was created entirely by hand using an acrylic-pouring technique. The artist controls the direction, density and interaction of the colours while allowing the liquid paint to form natural, organic structures.

The resulting marbled passages, flowing contours and mineral-like formations cannot be reproduced. Every transition is specific to this painting, confirming its unique character.

The smooth movement of the acrylic is balanced by subtle variations in transparency and density. These details give the surface a sense of depth and allow the composition to change gently according to the surrounding light and the viewer’s position.

Visual Interpretation

The title Arctic Clay reflects the encounter between two contrasting natural elements.

The pale areas suggest ice, mist, frozen air and untouched expanses. The terracotta and rust-coloured passages recall clay, sediment and geological matter rising through a thawing landscape.
