Vintage Italian Squirrel on Branch and mushrooms Figurine

A highly detailed and beautifully cast decorative sculpture. This naturalist sculpture depicts an alert squirrel perched atop a textured tree branch, accented by clusters of small, golden-colored mushrooms growing near the base.

The piece utilizes selective oxidation within the bark recesses to provide realistic contrast against the mirror-polished finish of the squirrel. It remains in excellent vintage condition with sharp, easily legible hallmarks.

Material: 925 Sterling Silver Laminated over an internal structural core, mounted on a polished, oval black lacquered wood base.

Hallmarks: Clear oval 925 silver purity stamp, Laminato and the official maker's hallmark "ROMAR". The underside features a gold foil boutique label from "Sogno di Donna Gioielleria, Lamezia Terme (CZ).

This piece features Romar’s signature "Finitura Brunita" (Artisanal Burnished Finish), a distinctive design choice across their entire collection. Rather than a flat, mirror-like gloss, the 925 silver is treated with selective, deep-grey oxidation within the crevices of the textured fur and tree bark. This creates a striking, antique-style contrast that emphasizes the fine craftsmanship, giving the animalier sculpture exceptional depth and realistic detail.
