Original USAAF B-3 flying jacket from 1943, manufactured by Aero Leather Clothing Co., Beacon, N.Y., size 46R.
Sold together with the original wartime diary of Lt. Burton Gelbman, making this a particularly interesting historical grouping.
The jacket is in heavily worn, unrestored condition, showing age-related wear, extensive cracking and a tear in the leather on the back. The original contract label is still present.
