Omega Seamaster Automatic – Professionally Repainted Emerald Marble Dial – Cal. 1012 – Ref. 198.0070

The Omega Seamaster Ref. 198.0070 is a bold expression of Omega’s 1970s design language, moving away from the restrained round cases of earlier Seamasters toward a larger TV-shaped case with an integrated bracelet. Examples of the reference are documented with the automatic Omega Calibre 1012, date display and approximately 37 mm case dimensions, giving it substantial wrist presence for the period.

This example becomes considerably more distinctive through its professionally repainted emerald marble-effect dial. Deep emerald and darker green variations create a stone-inspired surface, while the gold-tone Omega signature, applied baton indexes and Seamaster script complement the full gold appearance of the case and integrated bracelet. The combination gives this already unmistakably 1970s Seamaster a unique jewelry-like character.

Condition

The watch is presented in very good vintage condition. The gold-plated case remains in very good case condition, retaining the strong angular profile and characteristic TV-shaped architecture of the reference.

Acrylic glass is used and has very minimal defects but not seenable majorly

The emerald marble-effect dial has been professionally repainted. Its rich green tonal variations and stone-inspired texture contrast beautifully with the gold-tone indexes and detailing. The dial restoration is fully disclosed.

The Omega Cal. 1012 automatic movement has recently been serviced and is running well. The date function works well.

The integrated gold-plated bracelet complements the case beautifully and gives the watch its unmistakable full-gold 1970s appearance.
