"L'ultimo grido delle cicale": contemporary abstract work built through geometric fields, overlays and tactile marks. The deep blues of the upper part progressively meet yellows, oranges and intense reds, evoking the landscape between sky and earth in the last days of summer with the final cicada songs. The surfaces deliberately irregular and the black marks interrupt the geometric order, giving movement and character to the composition. A luminous and energetic work, suspended between balance and instinct.

PAOLO CONTIN has developed a personal artistic path for over twenty-five years, continuously evolving. Trained in design and active in the fashion world since 1980, he brings to painting a special sensitivity for color, form and compositional balance.

Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo exhibition in Padua. Subsequently, numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with presence in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Sydney.

Paolo Contin's artistic journey is also documented by inclusion in the Art Mondadori Catalogue with related quotations. Over the years his works have also been published in the Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo exhibitions and major Art Fairs, some published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.

He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Venetian artists and active up to the pandemic period.

A versatile and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes and intense color relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he explores balance, movement and emotion.

Experimentation extends to sculpture and wood as well, with works built through the overlay of geometric elements, confirming a research that goes beyond painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without predefined formulas: every work arises from the will to preserve freedom, identity and expressive authenticity.
